Our Program

The University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative started in January 2010 as a funded five year program. The Anderson School serves as a resource for business ethics education across other colleges on campus (in particular the Law School, Medical School, School of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences) and all public institutions of higher learning in the northern half of New Mexico.

In New Mexico, this initiative will be coordinated with New Mexico State University. Resources developed though this initiative will be shared with partner schools in Utah, CO, and Wyoming (University of Utah, Colorado State University, CU-Colorado Springs, University of Northern Colorado, University of Wyoming, University of Denver, and New Mexico State University). This consortium will be involved in significant resource development, collaboration and sharing of best practices in business ethics education.

The resources for this initiative will be used to develop business ethics teaching materials, allow for the development and integration of business ethics education throughout UNM, provide workshops and programs on teaching business ethics, and create competitions and recognition events for principle-based ethical leadership and practice. Fellowships and grants will be provided for speakers, resources, and for faculty to attend workshops. In addition, we will offer a certificate program, develop a professionalism module for MBA students, create podcasts, and teach a business ethics course.
